Welcome to MINOTAUR, an online biomedical text-mining suite of tools.
MINOTAUR utilises a number of different methods to query databases such as PubMed and Swiss-Prot, to retrieve documents, and to filter and present the returned information in a number of useful ways.
4 types of query (accessed via above tabs) are possible:
- PubMed query - formulate a PubMed query, apply specialised rankers to rank the resulting documents, and extract informative sentences.
- Corpus - upload your own documents, rank them and extract informative sentences.
- BLAST - BLAST your protein sequence against Swiss-Prot in order to create a protein report, or to generate search terms with which to query PubMed and access further information retrieval and extraction options.
- Swiss-Prot IDs - provide a list of Swiss-Prot IDs in order to create a protein report, or to generate a literature query for further information retrieval and extraction options.
Tips and explanatory information about the advanced options and parameters used in each type of query are available via mouseover text popups, as well as by clicking on the [?] symbol.
